“Samba: A Brazilian Celebration” at Ciudad

Kick off the summer season at Ciudad as we set Downtown L.A. ablaze with sizzling Brazilian cuisine at “Samba: A Brazilian Celebration”. We’ll be serving up the exotic flavors of Brazil, land of lush jungles, vibrant cities, endless rivers, and a people whose energy and passion inspire celebrations around the world. At “Samba”, we’ll put a touch of Carnival on your plate with a lavish three-course feast, exciting cocktails, and live music, all celebrating the bounties of Brazil.

The “Samba” menu features a wide range of authentic dishes, everything from Sugar Cane Skewered Chicken Xinxim and Baianos Black Eyed Pea Fritters to Shrimp Bobó, Vegetarian Moqueca, and Brazil’s national dish Feijoada, a flavorful stew of pork sausage, ribs, ham hock, bacon, onions, and beans. For dessert, sample a tantalizing assortment of tropical sweets, including Passionfruit Papo de Anjo, moist sponge cake rounds dipped in passionfruit syrup and served with passionfruit mousse, and Coconut Quindim, mini coconut custard tartlettes with cloves and cream.

We’ll be toasting Brazil with an assortment of exotic cocktails, including the Caipirinha, Brazil’s infamous aphrodisiac made with fresh muddled lime, sugar, and cachaca, a Brazilian spirit distilled from sugar cane. Not to mention the Capitetra, a festive blend of cachaca, oranges, fresh mint, and honey.

“Samba” is the second dinner in the exclusive four-part Ciudad Latin Dinner Series. Future dinners are “Mambo: A Night in Havana” on Thursday, September 14 and “Flamenco: The Passion of Spain” on Thursday, December 7.
