Ginger Pomegranate Margarita Makes 1 cocktail 2 to 3 slices fresh ginger 1 1/2 teaspoons pomegranate syrup 1 ounce simple syrup (optional) Ice, for cocktail shaker and glass 1 1/2 ounces 4 Copas Blanco organic tequila 1/2 ounce Cointreau 2 ounces freshly squeezed orange juice 1 orange wheel, for garnish 1 mint sprig, for garnish In a cocktail shaker, combine ginger, pomegranate syrup, and simple syrup. Using a muddler or the back of a spoon, mash the ginger to release its juices. Add ice, tequila, Cointreau, and orange juice and shake well. Strain into an old fashioned glass filled with ice. Garnish with an orange wheel and mint sprig and serve immediately. |
