Description

Beef and spinach flatbread pizza stacks savory beef, fresh spinach, and melty cheese on a crisp flatbread. Dinner in under 30 minutes with big pizza-night vibes.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Protein:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 cloves garlic

Base:

  • 2 pieces flatbread
  • 200 grams mozzarella cheese

Herbs and Seasonings:

  • 200 grams fresh spinach
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F and place your two flatbreads on a large baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add 1 lb ground beef and cook for 6-7 minutes, breaking into small crumbles and seasoning with ½ teaspoon salt and ¼ teaspoon pepper.
  3. Transfer the browned beef to a paper towel-lined plate, leaving drippings in the skillet.
  4. In the same skillet, sauté 2 minced garlic cloves for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Add 7 ounces chopped spinach to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes until the leaves completely wilt and shrink.
  6. Spread the cooked beef evenly across your flatbreads, leaving a small border around the edges.
  7. Distribute the sautéed spinach over the beef, ensuring an even layer.
  8. Sprinkle 7 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese generously over the top of each flatbread.
  9. Drizzle the remaining 1 tablespoon olive oil across the pizzas.
  10. Bake for 10-12 minutes until your cheese melts completely and edges turn golden brown.
  11. Remove from the oven, let cool for 2 minutes, then slice each flatbread into four pieces.

Notes

  • Swap store-bought flatbread with naan, pita, or homemade pizza dough for variety in crust texture and flavor.
  • Experiment with ground beef alternatives like ground turkey or plant-based crumbles for different dietary needs.
  • Use a cast-iron skillet for extra crispy edges and better heat distribution when baking the flatbread pizza.
  • For added nutrition, sprinkle some red pepper flakes or drizzle balsamic glaze just before serving to enhance the overall taste profile.
