Description

Sizzling garlic parmesan chicken skewers are a quick dinner solution that brings Mediterranean flavors straight to your plate. Tender marinated chicken chunks grilled to golden perfection make weeknight meals deliciously simple.

Ingredients

Scale

Protein:

  • 2 lbs chicken tenders, thighs or breast

Seasonings and Spices:

  • ½ cup parmesan
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce
  • 2 teaspoons red pepper flakes
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper

Additional Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 stick butter
  • 810 cloves garlic
  • ⅓ cup fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Slice 2 lbs of chicken into 2-inch pieces. Coat each piece thoroughly with 1 teaspoon paprika, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1 teaspoon onion powder, ½ teaspoon salt, and ½ teaspoon pepper. Carefully thread chicken onto metal or soaked wooden skewers.
  2. Melt 1 stick of butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat at 325°F. Add 8-10 minced garlic cloves and sauté for exactly 45 seconds until aromatic.
  3. Reduce heat to low. Stir ½ cup grated parmesan, 1 tablespoon hot sauce, 2 teaspoons red pepper flakes, and ⅓ cup chopped parsley into the melted butter mixture. Remove from heat and let sauce rest.
  4. Preheat grill or oven to 400°F. Brush your skewered chicken with 2 tablespoons olive oil, ensuring each piece is lightly coated.
  5. Grill chicken for 6-7 minutes per side, turning once. Baste generously with garlic parmesan sauce during cooking. Confirm internal chicken temperature reaches 165°F.
  6. Remove skewers from heat. Drizzle remaining garlic parmesan sauce over your chicken before serving hot.

Notes

  • Soak wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes before threading chicken to prevent burning during cooking.
  • Choose boneless, skinless chicken breasts cut into uniform pieces for even cooking and consistent flavor absorption.
  • Adjust hot sauce and red pepper flakes to match your preferred spice level, tasting the sauce before brushing on chicken.
  • For a low-carb option, serve these skewers over a crisp salad or alongside roasted vegetables instead of traditional sides.
