Description

Succulent honey garlic pork tenderloin delivers a flavor explosion that makes dinner feel special without complicated prep. Marinate the meat in a sweet and savory blend, then roast until perfectly tender and glazed with golden goodness.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Protein:

  • 2 pork tenderloins

Sauce and Seasonings:

  • ½ cup honey
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 6 cloves garlic
  • 1 tablespoon ginger
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Thickening and Garnish:

  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • green onions
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Whisk ½ cup honey, ¼ cup soy sauce, 2 tablespoons rice vinegar, and 1 tablespoon sesame oil in a medium bowl. Add 6 minced garlic cloves, 1 tablespoon grated ginger, ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes, ½ teaspoon black pepper, and ½ teaspoon salt.
  2. Mix 1 tablespoon cornstarch with 2 tablespoons water until smooth. Stir this slurry into the marinade to create a consistent sauce.
  3. Pat 2 pork tenderloins dry with paper towels. Place them in a large resealable plastic bag or shallow dish.
  4. Pour the marinade over the pork, ensuring complete coverage. Seal and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, turning occasionally for even flavor absorption.
  5. Preheat oven to 400F. Heat a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat with 1 tablespoon oil.
  6. Carefully place tenderloins in the hot skillet. Sear each side for 2-3 minutes until nicely browned.
  7. Transfer skillet to preheated oven. Bake for 15-20 minutes until internal temperature reaches 145F.
  8. Remove skillet from oven. Transfer pork to a cutting board and tent loosely with foil. Rest for 10 minutes.
  9. Pour remaining marinade into the same skillet. Simmer over medium heat for 5-7 minutes, stirring frequently until slightly thickened.
  10. Slice pork against the grain into ½-inch thick pieces. Arrange on a serving platter.
  11. Drizzle honey garlic glaze over sliced pork. Sprinkle with chopped green onions and toasted sesame seeds.

Notes

  • Always use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature of the pork, which guarantees perfectly cooked meat without drying it out.
  • Let the pork rest after cooking, as this allows the juices to redistribute, ensuring each slice stays tender and moist.
  • For a low-carb version, replace honey with a sugar-free alternative like monk fruit sweetener to reduce carbohydrate content.
  • Marinate the pork for at least 2 hours to develop deep, rich flavor that penetrates the meat completely.
