Description

Whipping up buffalo chicken dip brings game day excitement right to your table! Creamy, spicy, and totally addictive, this crowd-pleasing recipe guarantees your friends will be asking for seconds.

Ingredients

Scale

Protein:

  • 2 to 2 ½ cups Shredded Chicken
  • 1 cup Hot Sauce

Dairy:

  • 16 ounces Cream Cheese
  • ½ cup Sour Cream
  • ½ cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • ½ cup Ranch Dressing
  • 1 packet Hidden Valley Ranch Dip mix

Instructions

  1. Grab your mixing bowl and sprinkle the entire Hidden Valley Ranch Dip mix packet over 2 cups of shredded chicken. Thoroughly combine until your chicken is evenly coated.
  2. Add 16 ounces of cream cheese, ½ cup sour cream, ½ cup ranch dressing, 1 cup hot sauce, and ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese to the chicken mixture. Stir until all ingredients are completely blended.
  3. Select a 1 ½ quart casserole dish and transfer the entire mixture into it. Spread the dip evenly across the dish’s surface.
  4. Preheat your oven to 350°F and position the rack in the center. Place the casserole dish inside and bake for 40 minutes.
  5. After 40 minutes, check the dip’s consistency. If you’re using a larger or shallower dish, start checking at 30 minutes. The dip should be bubbling and slightly golden around the edges.
  6. Remove from the oven and let the dip rest for 5 minutes before serving. This helps the temperature settle and makes it easier to scoop.

Notes

  • Use rotisserie chicken for faster preparation and richer flavor.
  • Adjust hot sauce amount to control spice level, starting with less and adding more to taste.
  • For a lighter version, substitute low-fat cream cheese and reduced-fat sour cream.
  • Serve with celery sticks, carrot sticks, or crispy tortilla chips for the best dipping experience.
